Bullying

I was bullied throughout my freshman in high school, an experience that affected me physically and emotionally. During my 28-year career as a high school English teacher, I try to inspire my students to address the issue. After sharing my own experience with them, I offer suggestions about how they can take action whether they are a victim or a bystander. I encourage them to look to revolutionary thinkers like Thoreau, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Mandela as inspiration.
